EHS Manager


Purpose of the Job

Assist plant and logistic managers to implement appropriate environment and safety organization according legal and InBev requirements. Help department managers to assume their responsibilities regarding environment and safety. Ensure site compliance with VPO pillars ES elements. Define action plans to reach the entity ES targets.


Business environment

Scope

Supply, logistic and administrative environment including
  • General, packaging materials and chemicals warehouses
  • Administration of the site and administrative Jup Tower building
  • Brewing cold and warm bloc, filtration
  • Energy & Fluids
  • Utilities
  • Facilities
  • Waste water treatment
  • Bottling areas (3 bottling lines – one way and returnables)
  • Kegging areas (3 kegs lines – 20,30, 50 L kegs and PerfectDraft)
  • Primary logistic: (un)loading, storage areas and transport
  • Garage
  • Mechanical and electrical maintenance

Main challenges
  • Ensure legal and internal rules compliance
  • Improve safety and environment awareness of hierarchical line
  • Facilitate ES integration in production and day-to-day activities
  • Motivate internal staff and contractor staff to consistently applying internal ES policies and procedures

ES manager – technicians from approved bodies – security agents – FLM’s and operators, occupational accidents insurer representative, contractors, regional fire department, authorities, occupational health department


Accountabilities
  • Coordinates contractors’ orientation and training with regards to ES procedures.
  • Chemicals management: control use and storage regarding ES requirements and chemical handling training of operators
  • Issue material safety data sheets
  • Attend the safety committee as an independent advisor
  • Assist departments to comply with ES requirements.
  • Coordinates emergency system
  • Coordinates and provide ES training
  • Coordinates ES management systems
  • Coordinates and supervises by-products and waste treatment
  • Replaces ES manager when the latter is absent
  • Executes tasks as dictated by the role's checklist to be validated by ES manager
  • Follow-up of security agents and access control
  • Follow-up of safety and environment equipment
  • Frequent visits of departments to ensure compliance with internal and legal ES requirements
  • Follow-up of periodical equipment checks by approved bodies
  • Collaborate with ES manager to the ES analyze of new equipment and to the compliance report
  • Establish ES department VPO reports and all ES reports as required by global for benchmark.
