Operations Manager- Brand Experience ZXVentures
1. Purpose of the Job
Develop, manage and grow a series of branded pubs and bars across Italy:
• Working with the BEX Europe team and our local craft partners to ensure that the wider BEX strategy is flawlessly executed in Italy.
• Using local knowledge and expertise to also help shape and define the country expansion strategy.
• Overseeing all existing units, working closely with the Head of Operations for the local craft team to ensure that every unit is consistently operated to the highest possible standard and each one is a brand flagship in its own right.
• Taking full responsibility for the BEX country P&L, delivering industry-leading net revenue and EBITDA returns.
2. Business environment
Main characteristics: (Challenges)
Operations: Managing of all existing sites, implementing key BEX standards and initiatives, hiring the General Managers and teams, ensuring systems and processes are in place to effectively manage the business in a safe and profitable way. Guarantee the quality of the experience in each site. Working with the BEX Europe Finance Manager to ensure that weekly and monthly financial reporting is clearly defined and submitted on time.
Expansion: Working with the BEX Europe Expansion Manager and the local Craft Team to identify suitable site locations, support with negotiating and executing leases, managing construction and permitting, construction cost management and execution of grand opening and post-launch analysis.
People: Working closely with the local Craft Team and the BEX Europe People Manager to build a culture of personal development and empowerment across the retail operation. Ensure that teams have opportunities for progression and that we are identifying and developing top talent across the group.
Marketing: Work with the BEX Europe Marketing Manager and the Head of Operations for the local Craft Team to develop a cohesive marketing strategy to be implemented in each site. Ensure that each site adheres to the brand toolkit.
Project Management: Taking steps to ensure that all key projects are delivered in a timely manner by all parties, and to the highest possible standard.
Measurement: Track financial KPI’s of all existing sites and proactively address any performance issues. Monitor impact of promotional activity.

Ownership of BEX Financial targets within the country, driving exceptional growth for the business. Identify new revenue opportunities. Collaborate with Head of Brand Experience to set 1 year plan and 3 year plan targets.
Delivering targeted number of openings across any given timeframe.
Delivering outstanding results across a range of non-financial KPI’s, including but not limited to:
- Consumer data
- Customer satisfaction
- Health & Safety
- Staff turnover and stability
- Craft beer volume
