People Advisor

Primary Purpose And Function Of Position

To support the People Manager in providing HR support to site and in ensuring the Company complies with employment legislation and corporate standards in relation to HR.

Key Tasks

  • Cascade employee value proposition to business and follow-up execution with manager
  • Support the manager recruitment process by interviewing candidates and negotiating the fial offers to be made
  •  Sole responsibility for recruitment process for blue collars 
  • Support in execution of panel interviews and assessment centers for Graduate MVPs and Supply Trainees
  • Manage administration in relation to all new hires
  • Provide 1 year workforce demand plan input to Local PPM for respective Brewery by driving discussions with respective managers/ leaders
  • Monitor budgets and develop action plans to close budget gaps
Target Setting
  • Ensure target setting standards and rules are cascaded and communicated to managers and employees
  • Analyze the target achievement gaps and provide input for developing action plans
  • Identify training needs and requirements for the brewery and support on ground execution of Induction and Training programs
  • Identify key positions for succession planning and monitor succession pipeline
  • Provide training and communications to develop understanding of competency 
  • Follow up on special group career tracks, planning career experiences and alignment with business
Internal Communications and Engagement
  • Actively support company culture roll out in line with ABI values through good communication and follow-up
  • Support the local Internal Communications specialist in executing global and local events
Excellence Program & Management
  • Manage excellence programs for People and Management pillars in the business unit
  • Communicate program guidelines and mandatory training compliance as per global ABI policies at Brewery level
  • Assist the BU People Director sales and support in defining standard KPIs and participate in PRP and Mancom meetings
  • Understand rewards policy and strategy and provide inputs to Rewards Centre of Expertise on local requirements
  • Communicate rewards plans and changes to employees and managers and provide necessary training
  • Assist local Compensation & Benefits managers in implementation of Benefits plan in the BU and defining & implementing rewards plans and strategy for non banded employees

Industrial Relations and Employee Relations
  • Advise managers and employees on regular HR queries
  • Advice and support managers undertaking investigations/disciplinaries
  • Provide HR advice and representation at disciplinary and grievance hearings

About the candidate:
  • University Master Degree in Business administration, Human Resoaurces, Economics, Engineering or Psychology 
  • Minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience in an operational environment including blue collar workers and union management
Competencies and technical skills
  • Business Knowledge: Understands ABI’s business strategy, zone/BU priorities, field operations, and external market trends
  • People & Management Cycle Understanding: Leverages knowledge of People Cycle (OPR, Competency appraisal) management system processes (TSC, Belts, Excellence Program), and trends in HR to identify opportunities internally and externally that deliver results for AB InBev.
  • Analytical Thinking 
  • Functional Execution with Excellence: Applies deep functional knowledge to execute People programs and projects  
  • Ability to take care of the customer's needs by providing and delivering professional, helpful, high quality 
  • Detailed understanding of end to end people processes, policies and guidelines
  • The ability to discuss alternatives and engage in bargaining in order to reach a solution 
  • Ability to manage relations with employees, unions and regulatory bodies to minimize associated industrial relations risks 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite especially Advanced MS Excel
  • MS PowerPoint and MS Access
  • Understanding of the HRIS tools used within ABI - SAP, Sharp Ops 
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Knowledge of Dutch – as asset
