Purpose of the Job

  • Responsible for Logistics Export Transport Planning processes in Europe and US
  • Responsibility for on-time deliveries to customers worldwide by ensuring transportation is scheduled with selected carriers and executed according to plan.
  • Manage the processes to achieve identified SLA’s and business KPI’s
  • Liaise with transportation companies to ensure efficient working relationship to achieve Service level targets
  • Optimise / standardise processes within US and Europe and exchange best practices with the other TP BSC Teams.
  • To ensure team’s compliance with AB-InBev internal controls, policies and procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
  • To act as owner of the BSC Export Logistics processes for the assigned teams / or activity areas and ensure that changes in the AB-InBev business and/or relevant business environment get properly reflected in the Export Logistics ways of working in co-operation with the local country business representatives and/or in line with AB-InBev BSEP procedures.

  • Accountable for critical Transport Planning results and products, amongst which:
    • Service Level export, CWC, freshness
    • Transport Planning SLAs
    • Carrier score carding and MQC tracking
    • Loading execution tracking
  • Supervision of daily tasks of the team (up to 10 team members)
  • Liaises with procurement and shipping lines to ensure smooth processes are in place and relationship build and maintained to safeguard Service Level
  • Liaises with teams in the plants in Europe, US, Crossdocks and Breweries in order to ensure smooth cooperation
  • Daily routine management within the team, reviewing Key Performance indicators and Service Level Agreements
  • Revise processes and maintain manuals
  • Lead calls with main clients and plants teams in order to improve processes
  • Build good working relationships with zone and global teams
  • Track, monitor and minimise additional transport costs due to processing mistakes in BSC or outside of BSC
  • Develop GAPAs and apply PDCA whenever certain KPIs, SLAs or targets are not achieved.
  • Optimize and manage all processes related to Transport Planning & build on the synergies to improve on SLAs as well as internal efficiency
  • Interface with other BSC teams to ensure compliance with cross-team accountabilities.
  • Together with Logistics Export  Process Manager EUR + US manage the organizational structure, team member recruitment & selection, performance management, salary administration, and other elements of AB-InBev People Cycle
  • Serve as the principal representative in external customer matters to provide a high quality of service.  
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external customers to identify additional ways to be of service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • When applicable – manage New Demands and/or waves of new process migrations into Export MP
  • Oversee team assignments, workload, training, overall performance and assume responsibility for the quality of intra-department work.
  • Ability to hold associates accountable for achieving established customer satisfaction levels.

About the candidate:
Qualifications and Technical competencies required

  • University degree
  • 5 years undergraduate degree

  • Min. 5 years experience in transport planning processes for FMCG
  • Proven team leading skills
  • Sound coaching skills to develop a considerable team in size
  • Good understanding of Export Documentation and Order Taking processes
  • Proficient in working in an ERP environment
  • Process / system understanding to come up with improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated high degree of interpersonal, coaching facilitation and negotiating skills
  • Experience managing key performance indicators
  • Track record of providing satisfied customers
