Specialty beers logistics specialist

Your job is to be the owner of the whole process for the assigned group of customers, responsible for fast shipping small volumes specialty beers.  You will act as front office, order taking and transport planner. You will capture and process orders and requests from the customers according to agreed SLAs/KPIs, and plan the transport, cooperate with carriers and forwarders to secure on time deliveries to importers. You will be first point of contact towards the customers, resolving their requests, taking care of the relationship in order to improve their customer satisfactions. You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders and be responsible for reaching the agreed KPIs and driving process improvements and relevant project implementations.  


  • Process all incoming orders from customers received by EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), e-Commerce (webshop) or email according to ABI procedures. Verify completeness and correctness of order: quantity, lead time, availability of product, credit limit check and delivery dates, verify if specific logistic rules, transport costs or sales discounts are applied to the customer.
  • Process all incoming requests from customers in timely manner, follow up with respective departments
  • Deal with changes requested by customers and with any possible issues.
  • Capture new orders releasing them and send booking requests
  • Follow up on ocean bookings and their arrangements, coordinate any ad hoc issues
  • Provide input on performance issues with carriers or loading sites
  • Cooperation with the international team of EUR and Global (GPO)
  • Provide visibility on performance of external suppliers
  • Cooperate with the different teams in Prague logistic center and with the team located in the Business units.
  • Perform team routines and check points, keep the process documentation up to date
  • SLA, KPI and Excellence Program dashboard tracking support,  Report KPIs and take actions to improve service quality
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Line Manager
  • Develop relationship with customers, work on improving ordering processes with customers, increase electronic ordering compliance, communicate business announcements, procedure changes to customers
  • Maintain steady relationship with the forwarders
  • Share responsibility with Team Leader for resolving key operational issues in the team
  • Provide trainings to new comers and support them during the onboarding period
  • Support structural improvements (PDCA & Risk Management follow-up) & projects
About the candidate:

  • Logistics understanding, especially in regards to sense of urgency and prioritization
  • Interpersonal skills / Assertiveness & Communication, clear and to the point communication
  • Detail oriented / Accurate.  Flexibility and resilience.
  • Team player.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Highly results focused
  • General business sense
  • Logistics Experience in an ideally FMCG Company is a plus
  • Working in process-oriented organization
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.

  • Fluency in English
  • Optional: average knowledge of other Western European languages (GE, FR, SP, IT) in speaking
  • Education level: Graduate degree
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office (Excel and Power Point) / SAP / System minded
