Senior Laborant Micro Fysico

You are responsible for the follow up / control of the quality processes and products (from raw material, additives to in process and finished products) for the Leuven brewery.

Main accountabilities:
• Sampling & analysis of raw materials, additives, in process & finished products
• Sampling for microbiological control
• Perform quality controls on the line
• Data analysis & registration in appropriate software programs; data interpretation & reporting of the necessary quality notifications used for decision making
• Give support to smaller quality projects
• Write lab tests reports as well as standard operations procedures according to ABI standards
• Responsible for the general maintenance, calibration & proper working of the specific devices within the department
• Responsible for the respect of the service level agreement
• Responsible for the 5S in the area
About the candidate:
• Lab technician A1 (chemistry, biochemistry) or equivalent thanks to significant lab experience
• Knowledge of the different phys-chem analysis. Knowledge about tasting technics is an asset
• To be structured and focused to keep an overview of the activities that need to be done
• Very independent & able to prioritize work to cope with workload balance. Being entrepreneurial, pro-active & creative
• Knowledge of the brewing & filling processes is an asset
• Driving force for continuous improvement, curious & open-minded to changes
• Eye for order & tidiness
• Good communication skills
• Practical knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word,outlook, lync…)
• Fluent in Dutch, knowledge of English.

Week position in a 3 shift system. Able to step in the weekend for exceptional replacement (2 shift system)
