Logistics Team Lead 

Purpose of the Job

Manage the order management team for Domestic Italy. Ensure processing of incoming orders for direct / indirect distribution via order template, EDI or email, complaint handling and empties pick-up process – all under the aspects of cost efficiency.

Manage the inventory deployment team for Domestic Italy. Coordinate the finished goods and empties flows within the IT 1st tier network in an efficient and optimal way (lowest landed cost), in order to guarantee availability for both internal (production lines) and external customers (1st tier customers)

Business environment

Main characteristics:

  • Lead Italy team at Prague office (~7 persons)
  • Intensive use of SAP system and MS Office Applications, mainly MS Excel
  • Use webtool to process orders for beer and poc materials
  • Allocate stock to orders and follow up
  • Lead carrier collaboration process

  • KPIs: Order processed, complaints handled, customer delivery performance, variable logistics budget, quality of orders, credit notes processed, service level of Italy, OOS reporting, and stock deployment.

  • Ensure capturing of all incoming orders from customers or AB Inbev country organizations by EDI , web tool and email. Orders need to be processed according to Service level agreement. Accountability for assignment of order under cost and efficiency aspects
  • Scope includes incoming order for direct / indirect distribution via order template, Fax, EDI
  • Customer orders Advertising material (POCM) orders Beer for destruction Promotions and ad hoc events
  • Identify & analyze risks for out of stock and obsoletes + find and coordinate solutions to mitigate
  • Manage with the team relevant support activities for order taking such as credit note creation, empties returns, credit and debit notes creation and corrections
  • Perform daily and weekly control for main outputs (KPI & SLA; checks with local warehouse) Support CSC for month-end closing procedures by ensuring performance of daily/weekly routines and problem solving during monthly closing
  • Run, analyze and distribute relevant reports, both on routine and ad-hoc request basis (i.e. Stock Status Report)
  • Coordination of peak volumes, in particular promotions and handling of out-of-stock situations and SKu switches based on the new releases, promotions and palletization changes
  • Liaise with CSC Front-Office. Local Back Office, Logistics and Finance teams in Italy, first point of contact for CSC Italy. Participate in weekly routine meetings with ABI Italy
  • Work with third-party logistics to ensure KPIs: customer satisfaction, service level performance (SL) and variable logistics cost (VLC)
  • Perform team lead duties, attract candidates with potential to grow within Logistics area
  • Provide coaching to team members and develop team members according to their PDP and targets

About the candidate:

Qualifications and Technical competencies required

  • Education / Language skills

-Upper intermediate level of English

-Italian language is a plus

-Business studies or logistics degree, university level or equivalent through experience

  • Experience:

-2 years’ experience in leading teams

-Experience in order taking, inventory deployment, supply chain or logistics function

-Experience in a FMCG Company for at least 1-2 years

  • Behavioral Competencies:

-Good analytical and strong problem solving skills

-Self-driven and able to prioritize workload efficiently

-Good understanding of supply chain operations and logistical processes - Able to understand cost-impact versus customer-impact and able to find the right balance

-Good know-how of Italian market - Excellent IT-skills (SAP and Excel)

-Ability to perform in stressful conditions

-Highly flexible allowing to operate in changing environments
