Account Controller – Co-Op.

Job Description:

Retail is the most dynamic and fast moving sector within the UK business. Key retail accounts are amongst the most sophisticated in the world, meaning that the skills and experiences acquired are amongst the most sought after in ABI (and FMCG more broadly).
As a Commercial Controller you will be responsible for developing and leading the relationship at senior levels with the retailer buying teams, negotiating JBPs, agreeing commercial plans and collaborating with the customer to drive mutual growth.

The Commercial Controller takes a leadership role across the Virtual Team, working with their KAMs/ NAMs to run the cross functional teams (Trade Marketing, Commercial Supply, Category Management, Revenue Management, BBP) to deliver the strongest possible plans for the customer. 

The role has ultimate responsibility for performance against the KPIs, including input into weekly and monthly commercial routines (CPT, WPR and Business Reviews).

Attention to detail is a critical skill within retail as the customers are very large. You will own your own P&L and be responsible for driving growth, aligned to your budget & business priorities. This will require strategic and analytical thinking as you balance your customer demands with the need to identify opportunities to drive profitable growth for the business. 

The Commerical Controller is also a key member of the Off Trade Executive team and along with delivering the results through their account responsibilities is also responsible to drive the strategy as part of a team for the total Off Trade

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead commercial team for the agreed Key customer(s)
  • Deliver agreed Commercial and Performance Metrics
  • Weekly / Monthly business reviews of performance metrics
  • Own and deliver commercial and category plan 
  • Develop a strong network of working relationships across the key customer(s)
  • Proactively manage contact strategy for all key contacts
  • Be an AB InBev Brand Ambassador!
