Senior Transport Planning Specialist

YOUR JOB

Responsible for the analysis of all UK transports. Development and execution of ad-hoc and routine reports. Maintain and develop further transport database. Analyse both transport financials and carrier performance supporting VLC budget adherence. Identify cost-saving opportunities based on analysis.

YOUR MAIN DUTIES
  • Is accountable for the evaluation of transports and Suppliers regarding performance
  • Is accountable for the evaluation of transports and Suppliers regarding costs
  • Is accountable for KPI reporting as well as Budget and ad-hoc reporting
  • Serve as contact point for data analysis within the team
  • Is accountable to support monthly closure process.
  • Is accountable for creation and maintenance of budget files
  • Further elaborate transport expertise
  • Is accountable for maintenance and enhancement of transport database
  • Identification of cost-saving opportunities based on analysis
About the candidate:
YOUR GENERAL SKILLS
  • Team spirit.
  • Acceptance to give support outside working hours if required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding the team/company culture and goals, and act upon.
YOUR WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of two years experience in analyst or comparable position.
  • Supply chain overall, packaging and logistics knowledge.
YOUR LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Fluency in and good knowledge of English
YOUR EDUCATION LEVEL / TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Education level:    Graduate degree
  • Technical skills:     Advanced MS-Excel skills / Basic MS Access and SQL knowledge / System minded / Analytical skills.
