Infrastructure Project Manager
Band: VIB

1. Purpose of the Job

  • Shape, manage and be responsible for European Infrastructure IT projects
  • Contribute to the IT infrastructure architecture & solution portfolio
  • Deliver and  Manage infrastructure related projects in respective area (Workplace, Collaboration, Network/Telecom, Datacenter, Security)
2. Business environment

Main characteristics: 
  • Establishes linkage with Zone Infrastructure Operation team, Infrastructure System owners, Application Project team and Business stakeholders to understand infrastructure needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Shapes adequate IT infrastructure solution for local, zone or European infrastructure initiatives
  • Manages implementation of infrastructure plans respecting quality assurance aspects and project methodology
  • Jointly with architecture team validates solutions proposed by suppliers
  • Scope covers Europe and global solutions roll-outs towards Europe
  • Manage expectations towards stakeholders and change management aspects for the resp. project scopes (IS/IT services, AS/IT services, Business)
  • Verifies, negotiates and assures correct pricing for technologies offered by suppliers
  • Integrates new services that are not yet covered in the outsourcing contracts, in collaboration with the service managers and contract managers 
  • Reviews and assists in defining new processes for new transformed services.

  • #servers 100, storage 400 TB, network links 250, #user accounts 15.000
  • Overall Infrastructure projects CAPEX 40 M  USD per year. Approx 1-2M responsibility in scope of this role – varying per project portfolio and year
  • Depending on amount of demands per Zone per year. Yearly average:
  • 3 major projects (more than 1,5 M€)
  • 3 to 5 big projects (IT infrastructure budget of over 100k Euro)
  • 5 to 10 medium projects (between 10kEuro and 100 kEuro)
  • Direct report to IT Infrastructure Delivery Lead Europe

3. Accountabilities 
  • Project definition - scope, objectives and resources/budget and alignment with Solutions Department management and business stakeholders
    • Support in Business case, budget & benefit setup/tracking
    • Project execution, closing and handover to service delivery organization
    • Implement project standards and ensure their respective requirements
    • Report to Steering Committee, and lead STC meeting
    • Prepare budget and investment approval request
    • Solution alignment with architecture function and business/ Solutions Department stakeholders
    • follow-up project milestones & timelines
    • status tracking & reporting incl. risks and issues
    • Report project status to management and STC
    • Follow-up of project budgets,
    • Follow-up of project resources
    • Follow-up of project deliverables
    • Handover to service organization
    • Closing
  • Handover to BAU support
  • Solutions alignment with Architecture team  
  • Manage 3d party resources/teams allocated to the project
  • Provide input for Capex governance process
  • Issues recommendations on Projects prioritization
  • Issues recommendations and input to  IT/IS strategy based on perceived needs within Solutions Department
  • Accountable for quality assurance aspects related to project activities
About the candidate:
4. Qualifications and Technical competencies required

  • Engineering/Technical University degree Level or equivalent through experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in IT Infrastructure roles
  • Experience as IS/IT Project Manager 
  • Experience as IS/IT Service Delivery Manager
Qualifications & Technical competencies: 
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Good program management/project portfolio management skills
  • Knowledge of datacenter technologies, storage & hardware platforms  
  • Knowledge of networking & security technologies 
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure architecture, Microsoft technologies, Major Cloud platforms
  • Good understanding of IT market trends and innovations
  • Good understanding of the Services management processes and IT Provider services,
  • Excellent IT IS analytical skills
  • Delivery and ‘Make it happen’ minded
  • Excellent organizational- and time management skills
  • Ability to perform in stressful conditions
  • Good business case knowledge
  • Standard AB InBev’s Business Understanding and how IT contributes to delivery of Services
  • Knowledge of European languages (English, French, German, …) is a plus
